On October 10th, 2016, Underwater World Xiamen hosted a launching Ceremony with National Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Association (NAWCA) (the Promotion Day, Xiamen Station) at Piano Pier Square on Gulangyu Islet in Xiamen.

The ceremony is co-organized by the Xiamen Municipal Oceanic and Fishery Bureau, the Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Association, Xiamen Chinese White Dolphin &Amphioxus Nature Reserve Management Office, Dayu Islet Xiamen Egret Nature Reserve Management Office, Xiamen Ferry Company, Xiamen City People's Primary School, Xiamen Haicang District Tianxin Islet Primary School and the media including Xiamen Daily, Sina Minnan and etc..
